My name is Sonia Pope, I am Mam-ma’s Crafts & Gifts. If some of you are wondering where the name Mam-ma came from, well it is what my grandkids call me. Mam-ma’s Crafts & Gifts is a small home based business in the Toowoomba region, Queensland Australia. I have been selling my products at the local markets & at a local shopping centre (Northpoint) several times a year.
This website is something that I have been wanting to set up for a couple of years. Thanks to my husband Steve for the awesome job he has done setting it up, and getting it operational.
I have a huge love and desire to make things and to learn new crafts. I have been knitting since I was in Primary School, sewing and crocheting since High School. Crochet is my main craft at this point in time. I dabble in Art and Jewellery making.
A lot of Crafts are a natural progression from one to another for me. After all these years I have finally started learning the Craft of Spinning and Weaving with natural fibres. Looking forward to where that takes me, you never know, some of that Craft may find its way on here. During 2019 I have been started making crocheted Mochila Bags. I am endeavouring to have a few of these for sale in 2020, time allowing, as each bag takes around 80 hours to make. I have also started designing some of my own crochet patterns, you will see on the shop listings who some of the designers are of certain items.
To see items I have made being worn/used by others makes my heart sing. I take pride in my work and would be devastated if there was an issue with something I have made. In saying this, if you purchase a product of mine and there was something wrong with it, please don’t hesitate to contact me and let me know, I will do my best to fix or rectify the item.
